It is no big surprise that people nowadays are very selective with who they choose to do business with and where they spend there money. Many of the conversations that I’ve had with business owners recently have been around the topic of increasing and growing their businesses. Many times they talk about new marketing ideas they are considering or where to advertise in order to try and get more business…

This is not uncommon for businesses, especially those young businesses like ourselves to stress over and pick our brains apart in order to hope and stumble upon the silver bullet, the answer that will take us from where we currently are to where we’ve always dreamed of. Well, fortunately for you I have that answer!

Here it is…Take care of those people that already do business with, have done business with you in the past and those who know what you do but haven’t done business with you yet!

That’s it! Now I’m sure you are sitting there thinking how does that translate to business? What do you mean take care of?

Let me leave you with some ideas I have come up with and have implemented in our own business:

1st: Set aside some time and write down in three different columns the following – your existing clients, those that have done business with you in the past and those who know about your business and haven’t done business with you yet along with referrers in that same category.

2: Come up with some creative ways, i suggest at least 5, ideally somewhere around 10 ways to keep in touch with those people. Some examples could be sending an email, phone call, stopping by their office, sending them a card, sending a card with gift, gift cards, lunch…and so on. You get the idea.

3: Next, once you have all your people listed start taking the time to reach out and build, maintain and grow your relationships with these people. Genuinely care about getting to know them, what makes them tick and what they are passionate about. Hint: the more you get to know them beyond their business the more rewarding those relationships and more points of connection you’ll be able to find and use to stay in touch.

4: Repeat steps 1-3. I know this sounds so simplistic in its approach and you may still be wondering why or how this is going to bring you more business, but I will share this with you. The majority (80%+) of our clients are referred to us because we have and are actively investing in those relationships.

The thing most people get discouraged by is that earning peoples respect and trust doesn’t happen overnight and that it takes time. Yes, there is extra effort to making time to keep in touch and reach out, but just think what would happen if you made it a point to do so even with one person a day?

Trust me on this. When you start to invest in people and build that equity, you will see the rewards of your efforts and the fruits of your labor. Your relationship building will not be in vain nor will it return void.

Share your thoughts in the comment section below. I look forward to reading your thoughts and learning from your experiences.

It is possible to apply net advertising tactics in lots of ways to start or improve an on-line company. No matter where you look on the web, you see membership web sites, programs, courses and so on, each with a new angle on net advertising. But what definitely matters with net advertising is being able to comprehend and apply the basic principles. You’ll get additional returns for your on-line marketing efforts in case you keep the following principles in mind.

Selling products you believe in is what internet advertising is all about. If your sole focus is on making the sale without a care about what you are promoting, your organization won’t make money for incredibly long. Honesty is the very best policy when it comes to net advertising. You should be open about the product you are promoting with your prospective buyers. If you will find disadvantages, be honest about the, albeit in a positive way, but never attempt to deceive anyone. This is the key to sustainable Net marketing success plus the way to make any campaign profitable. Despite the fact that you will discover plenty of products on the net that are less than honest when it comes to net advertising, offering outcomes which are extraordinary, you need to employ a little typical sense when deciding what to do. Building a relationship together with your buyers is critical mainly because they are the lifeblood of your enterprise. You may only accomplish this once they have seen all of the facets of your product. Provide the benefits, explain how it will solve their problems but don’t use to much hype or you will end up with lots of dissatisfied consumers. You shouldn’t have any difficulty supporting your product if it’s worth it. This is one thing that lots of new Web marketers ignore and just have their eyes on the funds, which is why they fail.

Should you wish to uncover new prospects and get extra visitors to your web site, you need to discover to use social media to your advantage. It’s now easy to connect with millions of prospective buyers on social media web sites like Twitter and Facebook. Twitter gives you a straightforward method to discover numerous interested prospects, as you may search for and add followers by their interests. If can make your clients into Twitter followers, you also have a convenient place where it is possible to answer their questions and tell them about new offers. There are much more social media web sites appearing all of the time, and several of these are fairly useful for promoting your enterprise. These social media web sites encourage participation and they get high volumes of traffic, so making use of them is both uncomplicated and potentially profitable.

You’ll find some world wide web marketers who have managed to meet the expectations of their clients, but there are many far more who do not succeed. However, the actually profitable ones are those that have learned to over deliver and to present a lot more than their customers’ ever expected. These on the internet marketers are the real stars mainly because they both know what they want but also what their audience wants and that is what they provide. Whenever you over deliver to your clients, things tend to come together even faster. They get a “wow” experience and automatically get into the mindset of doing business with you once more. They’re marked by the positive experience of working with you and automatically drop their defenses so that they are willing to do enterprise with you once more. Inside the long run, nothing matters as much as trust and this is an wonderful chance to establish that trust. Apart from that, you don’t want your product to get a bad name within the market just due to the fact it wasn’t the thing that everyone expected. For this reason you should never under deliver but often strive to offer a lot a lot more value. To summarize, despite the reality that there are lots of methods to improve your marketing campaigns the core concepts will always be the same. You should develop a powerful base for your online organization and this can only be completed by making use of the right techniques.

I am convinced that one of the greatest abilities and opportunities we have on earth is the ability to finish. How many times have you started a book only to never finish reading the entire book? How many times have you said you were going to do something, got all excited about it only to start and never finish?

So many times I find myself in these situations, where I start something but don’t follow it through to completion thereby leaving another unfinished start in my life. It can be frustrating at times, but more often than not what happens is that I just keeping moving, leaving a trail of uncompleted projects or ideas behind me. Sure, I come back and finish some of those project, but not all of them and more often than not it takes me a while to come back and complete the ones that I do.

All that said, think about this for a minute. When was the last time you finished a book you started or a project? Do you remember how you felt when you completed the task. If you’re like me you probably felt a sense of accomplishment and a sense of relief. I don’t mean relief in the, “I’m so glad that’s over”, but in a way where you knew you could move on to something else be it physically, emotionally or mentally and know that you were completely done with no lingering thoughts or actions needed.

You see when we leave unfinished items in our lives be it projects, tasks or something seemingly as insignificant as a book, there is a residue that sticks on us in our minds in our subconscious that hinders us from being able to fully focus on another task. That unfinished item sticks around in our heads because we know we didn’t complete it thereby always tugging at attention, our focus and ability to move onto something else entirely and uninterrupted.

It may not seem like a big thing and you may think that it doesn’t affect you, but I leave you with this…

Big things always start out as little things. The most successful people in life that we admire started by taking care of the little things and those little things began to grow into bigger things. They finish what they start and then continue on to the next challenge, opportunity or idea, but the common thread they all share is an ability to finish.

What project do you still have that needs to be finished or dismissed from your list of todo’s? What book is still sitting on page 39 that needs to be completed? Take an inventory of your business and determine which things you need to go back and finish and which need to be tossed so that you can begin to give more attention and focus to the truly important things in life.
